This recognition comes shortly after the hotel’s opening at the end of last year, marking an important milestone for the project and the wider team involved in bringing it to life.

A Home in the Sky — Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

Located within one of the tallest buildings in the world, Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur presented a unique design challenge: how to create a sense of place, warmth, and cultural resonance within a highly contemporary glass tower.

The design narrative draws inspiration from the traditional Malay kampung house — reimagined as “A Home in the Sky.” This concept informed the spatial planning, materiality, and atmosphere throughout the hotel, balancing intimacy with the expansive scale and views of its elevated setting.

A key focus was translating the Park Hyatt experience into this vertical context — ensuring the interiors feel grounded, refined, and deeply connected to local identity, despite the building’s modern architectural expression.
